I have been a patient of Eddie’s for over 16 years, starting when I was a teenager, due to low back problems and neck problems resulting from herniated disks and subsequent surgeries. Medical problems can be a scary experience for anyone, but it was particularly difficult for me as a teenager facing major back surgery and limited mobility due to round the clock pain and spasms. Eddie provided a therapy environment that immediately put my mind at ease, showing genuine care, and making a scary and frustrating time just a bit more bearable. That extra level of care can make a world of difference when bouncing around between doctors and tests and treatments, and not sure what to do or how things will turn out. I have had to go to other Physical Therapy clinics while at college, where I felt as though I was just another name on a chart, lost in the shuffle of often overcrowded clinics that lacked personal attention. At Promise, it is different, Eddie and his staff provide personal attention that results in better treatment. Back and sciatica issues can be quite complex and difficult to diagnose. At Promise I also never feel as though I’m receiving cookie cutter therapy, but receive a program tailored for me and my specific issues and needs, in an effort to help diagnose my issue and resolve it without the need for more invasive treatments. The positive experiences Eddie and his staff provide have kept me returning whenever the need arises, most recently after lumbar fusion surgery. Should the need arise again (hoping it won’t!), I’ll be returning to Promise.
I originally injured my shoulder in May 2011 while playing softball. It was dislocated and resulted in a torn labrum. It required surgery. I went through months of therapy with another therapy group , but the shoulder did not heal properly. Over the next two years my shoulder dislocated twice more that required emergency room visits and by the summer of 2013 approximately 90% of my labrum was torn. It was sliding in and out of joint on a regular basis. I had yet another surgery and at this point I was looking for a different therapy group to work with. On a recommendation from a friend I gave Promise Physical Therapy a call and it was the best decision. On my initial visit I had a sit down conversation with Eddie. We talked about my history and all the trouble with the shoulder and he explained how we would proceed in an attempt to get normal function back in the shoulder. Eddie and his entire staff were extremely professional and knowledgeable. They would take the time to explain/demonstrate each exercise I would be performing and explain why the exercise was being done and what benefit it would provide. After weeks of therapy my shoulder finally began feeling normal again. In the months since my therapy has ended I have been slowly able to get back to my normal weight lifting routine. The shoulder has not felt this good since before the initial injury in 2011 and my strength has almost exceeded where I was pre-injury. I am very active in weightlifting, running, etc and it was very important to me to not have to give those things up because of a bum shoulder. As I stated earlier, the decision to use Promise was the best decision I could have made to get my shoulder healthy again and I would highly recommend Eddie and his staff if the situation ever arises.
I was a patient at Promise Physical Therapy for several months during my recovery from two shoulder surgeries. I had surgery on one shoulder with follow-up PT and then a few months later, surgery on my other shoulder with follow-up PT. The treatments, exercises and therapy helped me regain full use in both my shoulders. I was there for so long that all of the staff became like family to me. They were very helpful to me during my recovery and always treated me kindly. They have a beautiful facility with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I have and will continue to highly recommend them to anyone who needs physical therapy.
